What it does

ArgoCD is a declarative GitOps CD tool for Kubernetes. It monitors Git repositories and ensures cluster state matches. The CLI manages applications, syncs state, and rolls back. Applications show as Synced/OutOfSync and Healthy/Degraded.

Examples
argocd app listList all applications and their sync status · explain & risk-check →
argocd app sync myappTrigger immediate sync for an application · explain & risk-check →
argocd app diff myappShow diff between live state and desired state · explain & risk-check →
argocd app rollback myapp 3Roll back to a specific revision · explain & risk-check →
argocd app set myapp --sync-policy automatedEnable auto-sync for an application · explain & risk-check →
Pro tip

Use `argocd app diff` before every manual sync in production — it shows the exact Kubernetes resource changes, equivalent to `terraform plan` for your GitOps workflow.
